Poster and oral presentation Awards
Poster Awards
All undergraduate and graduate students registered for the Genetics 2020/2021 meeting who present a study will automatically be eligible for the poster awards. Up to three posters from each area (below) will be selected for awards. The first author of the study must be at the poster site during the period designated for its presentation. Presenters that win the first place in each area of the Undergraduate Student and Graduate Student categories will receive an exemption from the registration fee for the GENETICS 2022 meeting.
The other selected participants will receive an honor certificate.

Oral presentation awards for Graduate Students
Evolution Award - PAULO SODERO MARTINS
Sponsorship:
Theme: Evolution
The Scientific Committee of the SBG will pre-select up to 5 abstracts of graduate students for the Paulo Sodero Martins “Evolution” Award. All graduate students presetting a study on Biological Evolution from any of the sub-areas are eligible to apply. The first authors of the selected abstracts will be scheduled for a 10-min oral presentation* of the study to a judging committee. The first place will be awarded a cash prize of R$ 1,000.00 (one thousand reals). If the Award Judging Committee deems necessary, the remaining candidates selected will receive a certificate of merit. Students who are selected for the oral presentation must also present their work in the poster session.
*The oral presentation must be in Portuguese or English and slides must be in English.
Molecular Biology / Genomics / Bioinformatics DARCY FONTOURA DE ALMEIDA award

Plant Genetics ALCIDES CARVALHO award

All prizes will be announced during the closing session of the Congress, on September 02, 2021. Requests to review the decisions of the Judging Committee will not be allowed.
